Roadmap
From MVP to long-term impact
APIScog is pursuing a staged route from working prototype to a validated cognitive wellbeing platform. Each stage has to earn the next: the near-term product is cognitive training, and anything clinical follows evidence rather than ambition.
The route
Five stages
MVP development
We are hereCore environment and cognitive tasks
Feasibility testing
Usability and pilot collaborations
User data and marker development
Task performance and exploratory digital markers
Validation studies
Larger studies and evidence generation
Commercial scale
Cognitive training platform and potential diagnostic applications
Dual-path strategy
Two tracks, deliberately unequal
APIScog is initially focused on immersive VR cognitive wellbeing and cognitive training, with a near-term pathway to commercialisation. A future diagnostic model may emerge from exploratory digital markers, validation work and longitudinal research. The diagnostic pathway is investigational and not yet validated for clinical or commercial use.
- Near termActive focus
Training & wellbeing
A cognitive training and wellbeing platform for a broad user base, positioned as a performance product rather than a condition-specific medical one.
- Longer termInvestigational
Diagnostic & clinical models
Longitudinal data and validation studies may support development of diagnostic or monitoring models, if future evidence supports this.

Why this platform
What APIScog is built to become
Large and growing cognitive wellbeing market
Cognitive performance is a mainstream priority across age groups — from students and professionals to older adults seeking to maintain everyday cognition. APIScog is positioned first as a cognitive wellbeing and training platform, not a condition-specific medical product.
Ecologically valid VR differentiation
Unlike abstract brain-training games, APIScog is built around life-like environments. The first MVP uses an airport-style scenario where users practise attention, working memory, processing speed, visual discrimination and response control in context.
Multimodal data advantage
APIScog captures not only task performance, but also exploratory digital markers such as eye movement, head orientation and hand/controller behaviour. This creates a richer data layer around engagement, distraction, reorientation and response style.
Scalable platform model
Designed as a modular platform with multiple cognitive modules, progressive difficulty levels, controlled environmental modes and future dashboard-based reporting. The architecture supports expansion across cognitive training, healthy ageing, education, occupational performance and research use cases.
Pilot partners shape the next stage
Feasibility testing and pilot collaboration are stage two, and that is where the roadmap needs people rather than plans.
APIScog is currently at MVP stage. It is not yet clinically validated and is not intended to diagnose or treat any condition. Future diagnostic or clinical applications would require appropriate validation and regulatory review.
